Ernest Cline Book Signing, Author of Ready Player One

One of the big movies to be released this March sprang from a best-selling cult classic written by an Ashland native. Ready Player One, set to be released in theaters on March 29, was written by Ernest Cline and he will return to his hometown for a book signing at the Ashland Public Library during a special after-hours event at the beginning of March.

Cline is a bestselling novelist, screenwriter, father, and a self-proclaimed “full-time geek.” His work has been published in fifty-seven countries and translated into over three dozen languages. He was born and raised in our very own Ashland, Ohio, and he now lives in Austin, Texas with his family, a time-traveling Delorean, and a large collection of classic video games.

On March 2, 2018 at 6:00 pm at the library, Cline will be signing copies of his book, available for purchase at the Ashland University Bookstore prior to the event, or at the library on the evening of the event. Cash or check will be the only forms of payment accepted.

Parking for the event will be available in the library’s parking lots, the adjacent city parking lot, and the county parking lot beside Corner Park. Click here for a downloadable map of available parking. Please note that the library's main parking lot is reserved for handicapped parking only.

This event is free and open to the public. More information is available by calling 419-289-8188 or by stopping by the service desk at the Ashland Public Library.
