Renewals and Returns


Most library items can be renewed up to 4 times (see Renewal Exceptions)

Beginning January 2, 2018, eligible items will automatically renew on 11:59 p.m. on the due date. Here is a fact sheet regarding the change.

You may renew items manually prior to the due date, if you so wish, via the following methods:

  • by telephone (419-289-8188 ext. 601);
  • through the online catalog (you will need your library card number and PIN to access this service, please telephone if you need a PIN); or
  • in person at the service desk on the main floor of the library.

Renewal Exceptions

  • No renewals on Educator accounts
  • Interlibrary Loans (ILLs) are not eligible for auto-renewal and must be requested to be renewed at least 7 days prior to the due date - loaning library must grant permission for renewal. Please contact the library to request a renewal.
  • NO renewals on games, gaming accessories, toys, Launchpads, and Quick Picks.

Courtesy Notices

  • Courtesy notice: sent by email and/or text 3 days before your items are due
  • 7 day overdue notice by mail, or email and/or text
  • 21 day overdue notice by mail, or email and/or text

Return Locations

Please return all library materials at any of our drop locations:

  • In the outdoor book-drop to the left the main entrance on the south side of library,
  • Inside the main entrance,
  • At the Ashland Buehler's location in the Scenic Ridge Coffee Shop, and
  • On the Bookmobile; schedules are posted on the website and in the library, feel free to contact us.
