Ashland Public Library Expands Services

July 7, 2015

ASHLAND, Ohio - The Ashland Public Library is pleased to announce that is has joined the Serving Every Ohioan (SEO) library network. Patrons with a valid Ashland Public Library card now have access to over 8 million items from 90 libraries across the state. These items include books, audiobooks, music, DVDs and Blu-ray discs. Requested titles from other libraries in the network typically arrive within 5-7 business days; there is no charge for this service.

“Being a member of SEO allows us to provide patrons with easy access to 20 times the number of items we offered before,” said Library Director William Rutger. “With 8 million items, there is something for everyone.”

Requests for items can be made by visiting or calling the Ashland Public Library or Bookmobile. Patrons with Internet access can also visit the library’s online catalog to place requests, keep track of their library account and make lists. In another network benefit, Ashland Public Library patrons can now use their card to checkout and return items at any SEO library, including the nearby Loudonville Public Library.

The online catalog is available through the Ashland Public Library’s website at www.ashland.lib.oh.us. The library is open 9am - 9pm Monday-Thursday, and 9am - 5pm Friday-Saturday.
